There is a debate about there being three or four species of manatees. Since it isn’t known for sure, I think it is only right to touch on all four of them here.
The African Manatee is the one species that we know the least about. In fact, even getting photos of them is hard.
Living only in bodies of freshwater, the Amazonian Manatee is generally found in lakes and lagoons.
